About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group is responsible for conducting complex financial analyses to support the Texas Division Physician Enterprise Revenue Cycle function. This role involves developing and maintaining advanced reports and databases, interpreting report content, and presenting findings to key stakeholders. The analyst will also serve as a liaison between business operations and IT, facilitating enhancements and providing training to other staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth financial analyses for the Revenue Cycle function.
• Produce reports for claims submission, insurance follow-up, cash management, and coding.
• Interpret and analyze report content for stakeholders including providers and clinic management.
• Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards and operational reports.
• Explain report findings and recommend process improvements to management.
• Serve as a liaison between business operations and IT for system enhancements.
• Provide training and guidance to Revenue Cycle staff on reporting and analytics.
• Gather information for financial projects and perform in-depth analysis.
• Identify and resolve complex issues through critical thinking.
• Monitor performance metrics and conduct root cause analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited University.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or finance analytics.
• 3 years of experience in healthcare financial and revenue cycle analysis.
• Experience with Financial Reporting Systems such as PeopleSoft, SQL, Tableau, and Lawson.
• Strong data mining and business systems proficiency.
• Experience with multidimensional billing systems like EPIC and Centricity.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Essbase and Baseware.
• Ability to manage project-based assignments.
