About the position
Revenue Cycle and Appeals Project Manager works primarily to facilitate financial success by identifying revenue cycle problems and facilitating the implementation of solutions for improvements. Strives to improve and accelerate revenue cycle processes to achieve higher productivity, faster payments, decreased rework, and improved service by working with leadership and staff to promote best practices throughout. Additional responsibilities of this position include reviewing and tracking denials of payment for services to ensure organizational compliance, as well as maximum reimbursement. Essential to this position is the ability to appropriately communicate with various departments to obtain necessary information for the appeals process.
Responsibilities
- Identify revenue cycle problems and facilitate the implementation of solutions for improvements.
- Improve and accelerate revenue cycle processes to achieve higher productivity and faster payments.
- Decrease rework and improve service by promoting best practices throughout the organization.
- Review and track denials of payment for services to ensure organizational compliance and maximum reimbursement.
- Communicate with various departments to obtain necessary information for the appeals process.
- Maintain the Charge Master.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience in the healthcare industry
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Leadership ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and other data management tools
