About the position

The Revenue Cycle Application Analyst role is a 6-month contract position focused on supporting the Epic Revenue Cycle Application, specifically in Professional Billing. This fully remote position requires the analyst to work during PST business hours and involves resolving application issues, supporting vendor improvements, and participating in system design and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the system design, build validation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of designated Epic applications.
  • Documents user workflows and design decisions thoroughly.
  • Provides world-class customer service while resolving issues and problems.
  • Works with peers to investigate problems and determine if escalation is necessary.
  • Collaborates directly with Epic Vendor support as needed.
  • Champions Revenue Cycle systems to achieve identified benefits.
  • Completes special projects as assigned and supports a variety of staff as a team player.
  • Displays a caring and responsive attitude respecting patient, family, and employee rights.
  • Demonstrates sound cost containment techniques and adheres to safety requirements.
  • Maintains and evaluates own clinical expertise and practice, recognizing legal and policy limits.
  • Completes annual performance and competency evaluations with management and participates in goal setting and training.
  • Participates in department quality improvement and safety programs.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and participates in required meetings and committees.
  • Adheres to HIPAA regulations and maintains confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or applicable field and three years of work-related experience in information technology or applicable field.
  • Associate degree in computer science or applicable field and four years of work-related experience in information technology or applicable field.
  • Five years of work-related experience in information technology or applicable field.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing a Revenue Cycle System in a clinical setting, preferably with Cadence, Prelude, Professional Billing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Epic build experience with Credits, Self-Pay Collections, Patient Statements, Financial Assistance, and Estimates.
