About the position

The Revenue Cycle Business Analyst, under minimal direction, utilizes data and information, primarily pulled from the Epic Revenue Cycle/EMR system to address organizational trends and issues, and identifies solutions to opportunities in a quantifiable manner. This role is crucial in manipulating data using a variety of reporting and analytical tools to present information in a meaningful and actionable way. The analyst integrates data from various sources within Epic to provide insights, and designs and develops reports, dashboards, and other displays to communicate results effectively with the goal of maximizing reimbursement and mitigating denials. Additionally, the analyst leverages data and reporting tools to assist management in examining processes to improve workflows and staff performance. The position requires a strong understanding of revenue cycle operations and the ability to analyze complex data sets. The analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure that the data being reported is accurate and actionable. This role is essential in driving improvements in the revenue cycle process, ensuring that the organization can effectively manage its financial health while providing high-quality patient care. The Revenue Cycle Business Analyst will also be involved in training staff on new reporting tools and processes, ensuring that all team members are equipped to utilize data effectively in their roles.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • 3 Years experience in Revenue Cycle operations (Required)
  • 2 Years experience with Epic Revenue Cycle information systems (Required)
  • Experience with insurance verification and billing requirements (Required)
  • Experience with data collection and analysis (Required)
