About the position

Revenue Cycle Content Writer—Exact Billing Solutions is a unique opportunity for an experienced SOP content writing professional to join a fast-moving company specializing in medical billing for the substance use disorder, mental health, and autism fields. Exact Billing Solutions (EBS) prides itself on its extensive industry knowledge and innovative proprietary billing processes that support partner healthcare companies. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating, organizing, and maintaining internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they are universally accessible and valuable to internal teams and stakeholders. As a Content Writer, you will identify and communicate training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses across the company, conducting skills gap analyses, and selecting appropriate instructional methods. You will define time frames and prepare training materials in both physical and digital formats. Setting learning objectives for each course and determining evaluation criteria will be key responsibilities. You will also create, test, and review engaging training course content, including videos, quizzes, and activities, while providing desk-side training and one-on-one tutoring to associates to ensure consistent service delivery. Maintaining a comprehensive database of all training materials is essential, ensuring they are updated in accordance with industry, software, and departmental changes. You will gather, organize, and document complex technical content from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensuring accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will identify, maintain, audit, and create knowledge artifacts, focusing on the development of SOPs, job aids, and templates to ensure a consistent approach across all operations. Presenting SOP material in an easily digestible format will be crucial, ensuring that all users have access to accurate and updated information at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and communicate training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses across the company.

  • Maintain a database of all training materials, ensuring they are updated according to industry and departmental changes.
  • Gather, organize, and document complex technical content from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and version control of documentation.
  • Identify, maintain, audit, and create knowledge artifacts, focusing on SOPs, job aids, and templates.
  • Present SOP material in an easily digestible format for all users.

Requirements

  • Previous experience preferably within Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
  • Knowledge of Adult Education and training techniques.
  • Experience documenting processes and workflows with prior knowledge of SOP writing.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure high-quality written materials.
  • Excellent research skills to gather relevant information from various sources.
  • Willingness to submit to drug and background screenings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Proficiency in process mapping using Microsoft Visio or other mapping tools.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and navigate through various systems with ease.
