The Revenue Cycle Management Analyst at NYU Langone Health plays a crucial role in enhancing revenue opportunities within the healthcare system. Responsibilities

  • Extracts and compiles data from various system sources to develop analyses for revenue cycle opportunities.
  • Utilizes analytical tools to manipulate data for analysis and presents findings clearly.
  • Documents sources, specifications, and assumptions for all analyses for future reference.
  • Maintains data integrity when manipulating data files and ensures accuracy of results through checks and balances.
  • Liaises with department heads and hospital personnel to enhance revenue cycle opportunities.
  • Provides information and reports regarding CDM, billing, and charge capture to hospital constituencies.
  • Supervises and trains other analysts, monitoring the quality of their work and providing ongoing training.
  • Works independently, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking in completing assignments.
  • Adheres to a professional code of conduct and ensures compliance with departmental policies and HIPAA requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in healthcare finance/accounting, revenue cycle, or decision support functions.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle business processes.
  • High level of analytical skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated time management, planning, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a hospital finance setting (e.g., reimbursement, charge master, patient financial services).
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and American HealthWare.
