About the position

The Revenue Cycle Manager at Sea Mar Community Health Centers is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Central Business Office (CBO), managing business office staff, and ensuring optimal performance related to revenue and reimbursement. This role requires expertise in diagnosing claim denials, developing training materials, and creating workflow solutions. The position demands strong analytical skills, the ability to manage relationships with staff and payers, and proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Central Business Office (CBO).
  • Supervise business office staff and any temporary or contracted billing/coding staff.
  • Accountable for CBO performance related to revenue, reimbursement, and staff productivity.
  • Diagnose and root cause claim denials and rejection issues.
  • Develop action plans and training materials to resolve billing issues.
  • Create workflow or system configuration solutions to prevent future issues.
  • Develop reports and analyze large amounts of data to communicate business needs.
  • Work strategically and collaboratively with payers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Washington State DSHS, Labor & Industry, and commercial carriers.
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience in healthcare billing, accounting, or finance.
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience in healthcare billing, accounting, or finance.
  • Current Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certificate from AAPC is highly desired.
  • Proficient in personal computer applications, spreadsheet applications, and word processing.
  • Experienced Epic PB Resolute user; Epic certifications are desirable.
  • English required; English/Spanish is a plus.
