The Revenue Cycle Quality and Training Analyst role is a pivotal position within the University of Kansas Health System, focusing on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle operations. This role is primarily responsible for educating end users on the electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring that training is aligned with adult learning principles and operational workflows. The analyst will observe users interacting with the EMR to identify areas where additional education is necessary or where system improvements can be made. By promoting the effective use of the EMR system, the analyst supports operational workflows and contributes to the organization's overall goals of improving customer satisfaction and revenue cycle efficiency. In addition to educational responsibilities, the Revenue Cycle Quality and Training Analyst will conduct quality assurance reviews and productivity reporting. This involves identifying and documenting workflow and EMR process improvement opportunities through thorough analysis of quality, productivity, and compliance reporting. The analyst will also perform productivity and quality analysis to pinpoint training opportunities for both individuals and departments, ensuring that all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. The position requires collaboration with the information systems team and end users to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications, as well as assisting with the implementation of revenue cycle software products. The analyst will be involved in the ongoing development of training materials and will provide support for new EMR functionalities, optimizations, and upgrades. This includes creating and updating training curricula and offering on-site support during go-live events. The role also entails teaching workshops or training modules as needed and conducting training for new hires and existing staff. Furthermore, the analyst will engage in the Lean Promotion Office (LPO) initiatives, learning about Lean best practices and tools to promote Lean thinking throughout the organization. Participation in workshops and documentation support for events is also part of the responsibilities. The analyst will monitor and respond to health system revenue cycle support emails, ensuring that outstanding issues are followed up on and new issues are addressed in team meetings.
