About the position

The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst position is responsible for implementing, modifying, testing, and administering modules and systems related to revenue cycle applications. This role serves as a liaison between various stakeholders, including vendors, IT personnel, and end users, to address questions regarding system functionality and design. The analyst assesses user needs, recommends modifications, and develops reports to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, modify, test, and administer revenue cycle system applications.
  • Serve as a liaison between vendors, IT personnel, and end users to resolve system functionality questions.
  • Assess end user needs and recommend modifications to systems and processes.
  • Develop standard and customized application reports.
  • Perform analytical tasks related to program development, documentation, testing, and analysis.
  • Conduct team and integrated testing for billing systems and their interfaces.
  • Function as a resource for users in developing time-saving processes or new features.
  • Maintain various system parameter tables and issue enhancement logs.
  • Coordinate and engage in unit and integrated application testing.
  • Research, document, and facilitate resolution to issues reported by end users.
  • Create ad hoc reports and application report templates for various purposes.
  • Assist with the development and testing of third-party systems related to billing.
  • Draft reference materials and assist with documentation for training courses.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or Business required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in healthcare financial/revenue cycle or computer programming.
  • Epic Systems application certification must be attained within 2 months after training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with healthcare billing systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD codes, HCPCS, and HIPAA Transaction Code Sets.
