About the position

The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle division by reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating system data and user needs. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive application support, which includes implementation, testing, reporting, and troubleshooting of various systems utilized within the Revenue Cycle. The analyst will work closely with vendors and departmental staff to ensure that the systems are functioning optimally and that any issues are addressed promptly. In this role, the analyst will maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements that impact the Revenue Cycle. They will participate in departmental meetings, providing updates on project statuses and identifying areas for improvement. The analyst will also manage the change management processes associated with system modifications, ensuring that all changes are documented and communicated effectively. Additionally, the Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst will develop and maintain reports that capture critical data for departmental dashboards and regulatory reporting. They will serve as a liaison between clinical departments and the Revenue Cycle, helping to troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues. The analyst will also provide cross-coverage for team members and act as a subject matter expert on various projects and initiatives, making recommendations for training and skill development as needed. This position requires a proactive approach to technology, with the analyst expected to stay current with industry trends and advancements. They will participate in technology forums and user groups to bring innovative solutions to the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides primary technical support and monitoring of systems in use and implemented by the Revenue Cycle division and individual departments within the division.
  • Maintains current and accurate knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within the supported content areas specific to Revenue Cycle.
  • Prepares for and participates in Revenue Cycle operational departmental staff meetings and in-service sessions, providing project and issue status updates.
  • Works closely with vendors, other analysts, and super users, managing and organizing review of changes, determining functionality requirements, and testing related to software upgrades and enhancements.
  • Utilizes established change management processes when making system changes and manages help desk tickets with timely updates.
  • Maintains and assists with development of system documentation and workflows for the Revenue Cycle departments and division.
  • Develops, supports, and maintains reports to capture data from various systems to support department and division dashboards, KPI metrics, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Interfaces with end users and acts as a liaison between clinical departments and the Revenue Cycle to help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Provides cross coverage of duties with other members of Revenue Cycle System Analytics team to assure adequate resources are available to address issues and end user needs.
  • Acts as a Revenue Cycle representative and subject matter expert on projects, task forces, performance improvement projects, committees, etc.
  • Technical project management for small projects and assigned strategic initiatives, including creating project documentation and managing deadlines.
  • Maintains current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology and participates in technology forums and industry user-groups.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field and 1 to 3 years of experience in the field for related area required.
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate implementation and support schedule.
  • Proven work ethic, team and customer service oriented.
  • Knowledge of financial and/or administrative applications, and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of financial and/or administrative documentation and workflow.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage effective meetings and agendas.
  • Requires excellent listening, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
