The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst position is a critical role within the Revenue Cycle department, focusing on the implementation, modification, testing, and administration of modules and systems related to revenue cycle system applications. This position serves as a vital liaison between various stakeholders, including vendors, IT personnel, other application analysts, management, and end users, to address and resolve questions related to system functionality and design. The analyst is responsible for assessing end user needs and recommending necessary modifications to enhance system performance and user experience. Additionally, the role involves recommending and documenting procedural changes to improve operational efficiency. In this position, the analyst will develop both standard and customized application reports, ensuring that all analytical tasks are completed effectively. This includes securing documentation, conducting thorough testing, and performing final analyses to guarantee job and system efficiency. The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst will also engage in team and integrated testing for all functionalities of billing systems and their interfaces, acting as a resource for users in the development of time-saving processes or new features. The role requires a strong understanding of project planning, as the analyst will develop plans for small projects and perform comparative analyses of system designs against user requirements within the revenue cycle area. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining various system parameter tables, coordinating unit and integrated application testing, and serving as the first point of contact for end-users regarding issues related to information system performance across revenue cycle areas. This position also involves researching, documenting, and facilitating resolutions to issues reported by end-users, as well as developing and monitoring measurements of process improvements identified in system solutions. The analyst will create ad hoc reports and application report templates for various purposes, review and test system updates, and assist with the development and testing of third-party systems related to billing charge files and master files. Furthermore, the analyst will maintain a general knowledge of CPT, ICD codes, HCPCS, and HIPAA Transaction Code Sets, and may also develop and coordinate system training for end users.
