About the position

The Revenue Data Integrity Analyst I, Performance Improvement plays a crucial role in the revenue cycle reporting process. This position is primarily responsible for developing complex flat file reports using the Microsoft Suite of products and creating data visualizations with tools such as Tableau. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in revenue cycle reporting, collaborating with both external and internal customers to ensure accurate and effective reporting. The role requires a strong understanding of healthcare report writing and revenue cycle processes, as well as the ability to analyze financial reports and statements to represent the current and projected financial status of the organization. In this position, the analyst will prepare and maintain monthly operating reports and dashboards that include performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). They will assist in summarizing, recording, and reporting financial transactions related to various aspects of financial reporting, general accounting, accounts receivable, and cost analysis. The analyst will also be responsible for facilitating and addressing complex issues related to revenue cycle reporting, ensuring that all reporting needs are met efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical skills, enabling them to create and maintain reports while providing insightful analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for managing relationships and collaborating with all levels of management, including department directors and colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds. The role requires a patient-centered focus and the ability to prioritize and organize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with externally facing customers (i.e. Departments, Service Lines) to serve as a revenue cycle reporting subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with internally facing customers (i.e. Patient Financial Services) to serve as a revenue cycle reporting subject matter expert.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements to represent current and projected financial status.
  • Provide maintenance of monthly operating reports and dashboards with performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Assist with the summarization, recording and reporting of financial transactions related to financial reporting, general accounting, accounts receivable, financial reporting (internal), property control, project accounting, and cost analysis.
  • Facilitate and handle complex issues related to revenue cycle reporting.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to work described in.

Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred; significant experience will be considered in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum one (1) year healthcare report writing experience as demonstrated by technical competency in at least two (2) of the following: Epic Clarity, SQL/Oracle, MS Access, MS Excel, Crystal Reports, Tableau, Predictive Analytics (SaaS, SPSS, R, etc.), EPIC Caboodle, Alteryx.
  • Minimum one (1) year healthcare revenue cycle experience as demonstrated through work history developing reports for a minimum of two (2) of the following: Customer Service, Cash Posting, Registration, Credit & Collections, Billing, Denials, Payer Relations, Financial Clearance, Precertification, Audit Defense, Charge Capture, Coding.
