About the position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst III plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of billing processes within the healthcare system. This position involves conducting in-depth analyses of scheduling and billing workflows, particularly during the transition to the Epic Resolute module. The analyst will review coding and documentation, provide real-time education to providers, and perform charge reconciliation. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with various teams to enhance revenue cycle operations and ensure compliance with coding standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep dives into the new clinic legacy system around scheduling and billing workflow.
  • Support the transition and integration of billing into the Epic Resolute module.
  • Perform extensive reviews of CPT and ICD10 codes to create future workflows and educational opportunities.
  • Provide real-time education and training to providers during the transition.
  • Perform charge reconciliation and posting into the Epic Resolute system.
  • Own the transition work queues for clinics moving to the Epic EMR.
  • Research and provide input to the Epic preference list build.
  • Confirm that the build in place is dropping charges as expected from the Epic Care build.
  • Review documentation and identify educational or training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the SHC Digital Solutions team.
  • Create trackers for communication within the revenue cycle and clinic operations.
  • Develop training materials and presentations for providers and staff.
  • Keep abreast of current changes in coding and reimbursement requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of recent coding experience or applicable physician practice setting.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio products.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic calendars.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical coding (CPT4, HCPCs, ICD-9) with EMR experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, MediCal, commercial and managed care insurance preferred.

Nice-to-haves
