About the position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst at Northside Hospital plays a crucial role in maintaining the Chargemaster to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as internal hospital policies. This position involves ongoing collaboration with various departments, including clinical, revenue cycle, coding, billing, and IT teams, to implement and support continuous improvement in revenue cycle functions while ensuring coding and billing compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Chargemaster to comply with federal and state regulations and internal hospital policies.
  • Review compliance regulations and coding requirements, primarily Medicare, and incorporate changes into the Chargemaster.
  • Educate Department Managers and/or Practice Managers on compliance and coding regulations.
  • Coordinate with Department Managers and/or Practice Managers on new procedures to ensure timely and appropriate charge setup and staff education.
  • Assist in the development of Hospital System Policies related to charge entry, price setting, and new charge items.
  • Conduct audits to ensure all documented charges are captured and billed correctly on claims.
  • Coordinate with the business office to resolve denial issues related to the Chargemaster.
  • Assist Revenue Cycle Support Coordinator in other projects and analyses.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
  • Coding or nursing credential (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, RN) or a financial background.
  • Minimum of 2 years hospital and/or physician practice coding experience.
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three to five years experience in a hospital and/or physician practice setting.
