About the position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for overseeing daily revenue integrity functions that ensure accurate charging and billing. This role is critical for achieving operational efficiency, compliance, and optimal reimbursement/payment within the organization. The analyst will conduct quality control audits, review clinical workflows for missed revenue opportunities, and create action plans to capture any identified missed revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily revenue integrity functions to support accurate charging and billing.
  • Complete quality control audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Review charge capture clinical workflows for missed revenue opportunities.
  • Create action plans for capturing missed revenue.
  • Identify edits in patient management/billing Cerner software that impact billing accuracy.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze billing, coding, and financial data to identify discrepancies and trends.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of precision in reviewing financial documents and clinical records.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and identifying root causes of revenue leakage.
  • Proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and understanding of healthcare billing guidelines and regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient and financial information in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Time management skills to manage multiple audits, reports, and projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse teams, including clinical staff, coders, and finance personnel.
  • Proficient with Cerner Works, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Pivot Tables.

Nice-to-haves

  • RHIT Certification preferred.
