About the position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the Charge Description Master (CDM) within the hospital system. This position focuses on ensuring accurate charge capture, conducting audits, and providing education to clinical areas. The analyst will also monitor regulatory changes and collaborate with the IT department for ongoing maintenance of the Chargemaster, all while upholding excellent customer relations in line with the organization's Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Ensure the integrity of the Charge Description Master (CDM).
• Review CDM requests for accuracy and ensure compliant charge capture.
• Perform routine and focused charge audits of various clinical areas across the hospital system.
• Provide education and instruction to clinical areas for accurate charge capture.
• Conduct research and monitor external regulatory changes.
• Work closely with the IT department to support and perform ongoing maintenance of the Chargemaster.

Requirements

• Experienced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to understand and explain the complexities of charge capture as it relates to coding.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Strong knowledge of CPT-4 and HCPCS.
