About the position

The Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for administering structured processes related to the Charge Description Master (CDM) and managing appeals related to Revenue Integrity and compliance across Hartford Healthcare Systems. This role focuses on optimizing methods to automate processes, reduce waste, and enhance revenue collection while ensuring high-quality service delivery. The analyst will also represent Hartford Healthcare in financial decision-making and stay updated on external developments affecting revenue integrity processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer structured processes relating to the Charge Description Master (CDM).
• Manage appeals related to Revenue Integrity and revenue compliance.
• Optimize methods to automate processes and eliminate waste.
• Increase cash flow and minimize revenue leakage through oversight of services.
• Provide feedback in financial decision-making in collaboration with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
• Identify and communicate external developments affecting revenue integrity processes.

Requirements

• 5 years of progressive on-the-job finance and/or coding experience in an acute care hospital.
• Certified Coding Specialist (CPC-H or CCS) required.
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred.
