About the position

The Revenue Management Analyst at Convene plays a crucial role in the company's revenue performance and commercial success. This position involves working closely with the NYC Regional Revenue Manager and the global commercial leadership team to make strategic decisions that maximize revenue opportunities. The analyst will leverage a vast data ecosystem to drive revenue recognition, inform commercial strategy, and influence key business decisions on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Leverage SQL, advanced Excel, and other tools to identify trends and analyze data discrepancies.
• Create data visualizations to present insights on revenue and sales trends to stakeholders.
• Support the implementation and management of rate adjustments in the system.
• Work with Revenue Management and Pricing Optimization teams to identify inventory trends and develop quantitative analysis.
• Build and maintain reports for revenue team metrics.
• Collaborate with strategic partners to enhance technical capabilities and data environment.
• Support project delivery by estimating timelines and identifying risks.
• Engage with stakeholders to present products and seek feedback for improvements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency within the Revenue Management team.
• Proactively uncover risks and opportunities through data analysis.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or a similar analytical role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, power query, and advanced formulas.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Curiosity and a proactive approach to uncovering insights from data with minimal supervision.
• Ability to present complex data clearly to various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the hospitality and events industry or a related field.
• Familiarity with revenue management software and tools.
• Understanding of market segmentation and pricing strategies.
