About the position

As a Revenue Accountant at Anduril Industries, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing revenue-related contract terms and structures before execution, as well as analyzing contracts post-execution to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition. This position requires a keen understanding of accounting principles, particularly ASC 606, and the ability to communicate complex revenue matters in a clear and concise manner to cross-functional teams and executives. You will assist with order entry and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing and accelerating order management processes, making this a critical role in a rapidly growing company. Your responsibilities will include analyzing new and modified customer contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition, providing guidance on revenue recognition matters, and entering contract details into CRM and ERP systems. You will prepare revenue checklists in accordance with ASC 606 and determine revenue for both domestic and international subsidiaries. As the primary point of contact for revenue-related matters, you will work closely with the business and auditors to mitigate potential issues and optimize processes and controls. Additionally, you will oversee the month-end close process for revenue accounting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue and related journal entries. Your contributions will also extend to formulating internal controls and policies in compliance with SOX, IPO readiness, and GAAP, as well as participating in special projects or ad-hoc analyses to support the finance department and company initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Analyze new and modified customer contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on revenue recognition matters, including contract review, revenue forecasting, and deal structuring.
  • Enter and record contract details within CRM and ERP systems, commensurate with the terms of the contract.
  • Prepare revenue checklists in accordance with ASC 606 with support timely.
  • Determine revenue for cross-functional domestic and international subsidiaries.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for revenue-related matters with the business and auditors.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate future potential issues with optimized processes and controls.
  • Support, calculate and maintain fair value determinations for our product and service offerings.
  • Oversee and review the month-end close process for revenue accounting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue and related journal entries.
  • Contribute to the formulation of internal controls and policies in compliance with SOX, IPO readiness, and GAAP.
  • Participate in special projects or ad-hoc analysis in support of finance department and company initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Accounting or related field.
  • 2+ years experience with technical accounting, ideally revenue recognition.
  • Big 4 or equivalent background strongly preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Able to understand and communicate complex accounting concepts to stakeholders.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite.
