About the position

The Revenue Recovery Analyst at Cedars-Sinai is a pivotal role within the Patient Financial Services department, focusing on the processing and reporting of revenue recovery activities. This position is essential for ensuring that all outstanding insured services are reviewed and pursued effectively on a monthly basis. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the Insured Service database, ensuring it is current with billings and payment files. This includes producing both monthly and ad-hoc reports to track recovery activities and outcomes. In addition to database management, the Revenue Recovery Analyst will complete all required insured service CERTS as mandated by United HealthCare and submit these for payment. The role also involves monitoring high-cost cases and managing bills for stop loss recoveries, which are critical for the financial health of the organization. Furthermore, the analyst will prepare claims listings for third-party liabilities recoveries, ensuring that all potential revenue is captured and processed efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of healthcare claims, finance, and accounting principles. The Revenue Recovery Analyst will play a key role in supporting Cedars-Sinai's mission to provide high-quality healthcare and improve the financial integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Review and pursue recoveries on all outstanding insured services monthly billings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • One (1) year experience in healthcare claims, finance or accounting department.
