About the position

Wilson Elser is currently seeking a Revenue Team Analyst to join our team in White Plains, NY. This is a full-time onsite position where the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing accounts receivable for our law firm. In this role, the Revenue Team Analyst will be responsible for analyzing aged accounts receivable information to identify balances that meet the criteria for collection activity. This includes preparing follow-up letters and emails for accounts receivable balances, making telephone calls to clients to discuss resolutions, and tracking the status of invoices submitted electronically. The analyst will also confirm receipt of payments and record all collection activities within the assigned database, ensuring clear communication with the assigned Partner regarding all collection activities. The position requires strong analytical skills to review and reconcile payment histories, calculate percentages of invoice amounts, and produce written documents that convey complex issues surrounding outstanding balances. The Revenue Team Analyst must maintain accurate records, meet daily and monthly deadlines, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. The role also involves lifting paper file boxes weighing no more than 30lbs and standing on a ladder to reach files, ensuring that the physical demands of the job are met while maintaining professionalism and courtesy in all communications.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of Aged Account Receivable Information to identify balances that meet criteria for collection activity
  • Preparation of follow-up letters and e-mails for all accounts receivable balances that fall within the prescribed criteria for collections
  • Telephone calls to client contact to discuss resolution of accounts receivable balances that fall within the prescribed criteria
  • Tracking website status of invoices that are submitted electronically
  • Confirming that payments have been received from electronically submitted invoices including successfully appealed items
  • Record all collection activities within the assigned database
  • Communicate all collection activities with the assigned Partner
  • Analysis of partial payments received from Clients and participate in the appeal process
  • To produce written documents (e.g. letter, facsimiles, memos, etc) that clearly convey simple and complex issues surrounding outstanding balances
  • Review and reconcile payment histories by analyzing historical information
  • Ability to calculate percentages of invoice amounts utilizing formulas
  • To conduct oneself in a professionally confident, courteous manner while communicating with the Regional Offices, Associates, Partners, Senior Management, and Client Contacts
  • To verbally communicate simple and complex issues and inquiries pertaining to collections in a clear and concise manner
  • To get along with colleagues in a shared and virtual office environment
  • To keep Superiors well-informed on all progress and significant developments in the performance of primary responsibilities
  • To independently produce quality work products

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required OR High School Diploma or GED Equivalent AND four (4) years office work experience minimum of two (2) years experience in collections/accounting
  • Knowledge of General Accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Calculator usage and accuracy
  • PC-Based Word Processing skills
  • Grammatically correct English
  • Strong Verbal Communications skills with clients, attorneys and other firm employees
  • Strong Written Communications including the ability to read cursive
