About the position

The Reverse Logistics Expert at Target plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations related to receiving and outbound logistics. This part-time position focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, processing deliveries, and providing excellent guest service. The expert will engage with guests, handle logistics processes, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, all while contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for guests.
  • Receive deliveries using the receive application and process all inbound store transfers to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure Direct to Store Deliveries (DSD) and Advance Direct to Store Deliveries (ADSD) are accurately received following outlined processes.
  • Follow up daily to ensure all unacknowledged deliveries have been received.
  • Accurately handle all outbound freight shipments related paperwork; make shipping arrangements when necessary.
  • Execute donations, electronics recycling, transfer orders, salvage and inventory removals in compliance with regulations.
  • Identify and handle environmentally sensitive item management in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Complete the ESIM weekly log.
  • Process vendor credits and damaged/defective items accurately and timely to minimize shortage and compliance risk.
  • Maintain all invoices and documentation per record retention guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and Drive up while maintaining compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous receiving or reverse logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
