About the position

Emerald Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Revit/ACAD Drafter focused on plumbing design to join their established MEP team. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while working closely with experienced engineers on a variety of exciting projects. The role is based in the Brandon/Tampa, FL area and requires candidates to live within a commutable distance.

Responsibilities

• Support senior plumbing engineers and designers in the design and development of plumbing systems for various building types.
• Draft plumbing plans, schematics, and details using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including specifications and equipment schedules.
• Perform basic plumbing calculations for sizing pipes, fixtures, and other system components.
• Conduct site surveys to gather information about existing plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to coordinate design efforts.
• Maintain organized project files and adhere to company design standards.
• Continuously learn and develop plumbing design skills through training and mentorship.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in Revit design.
• Associate's degree or technical certificate in plumbing design or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit is required; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of plumbing design.
