About the position

Gamewell is seeking a skilled Mechanical BIM Designer with experience in Mechanical Design and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The role involves laying out complex Mechanical and Plumbing systems in various manufacturing facilities, particularly in the pharmaceutical, high-tech, micro-electronics, bio-pharma, food/beverage, and automotive industries.

Responsibilities

• Working with Autodesk Revit software to lay out HVAC Ductwork, Pipe, Plumbing, and Hanger supports.
• Using Autodesk Navisworks to coordinate Mechanical systems with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and Sprinkler pipe within the facility being constructed.
• Creating HVAC Ductwork fabrication drawings and Pre-fabrication Pipe spool drawings for shop fabrication.
• Creating Field Install Drawings that include Plan views, 3D views, Section views with dimensions and elevations.
• Creating mechanical schedules within Revit to generate reports for Project Managers.
• Creating pipe, fitting, and Accessories schedule to show on Prefabricated pipe spool drawings.
• Setting up clash detection within the Autodesk Navis Manage software.
• Working with Project Managers to show actual submittal of equipment and material in the Revit model.
• Participating in project coordination meetings and providing ideas and resolutions to project-related issues.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Mechanical experience doing layout work of HVAC Ductwork, Pipe, and Plumbing.
• Moderate to strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Plant 3D, and Navisworks.
• Ability to read Blueprints, Riser Diagrams, and P&ID's.

Nice-to-haves

• Plant 3D experience preferred
• Job history of HVAC mechanical systems and plumbing design preferred.
