About the position

The CAD Revit Designer/Drafter will play a crucial role in the production of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and shop drawings for prefabricated modular pod solutions. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this position requires a detail-oriented individual who can create comprehensive layouts, shop templates, subassemblies, cut lists, fixturing, and finishes that meet the specifications for manufacturing. The designer will be responsible for preparing thorough floor plans, elevations, sections, and details of frames, walls, fixtures, cabinets, plumbing, and accessories, ensuring that all designs are approved by clients before fabrication begins. In this role, the designer will produce accurate and detailed shop drawings derived from complex architectural models, collaborating closely with an existing team to coordinate drawings and deliver quality design work that adheres to established specifications. The designer will also assist project managers with any changes or additions to drawings as needed, working with various vendors to determine the correct products to be utilized in each project. Maintaining organized project documentation and information is essential, as is the ability to follow a drafting schedule and adapt to changes promptly. The designer must ensure that the project scope aligns with the estimated price and proactively communicate any product or schedule concerns with other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
