About the position

The Residential Construction Revit Drafter will be part of the Drafting Department for a Residential Builder, focusing on custom home building. This role requires a professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills, who is detail-oriented and organized. The position offers high pay and benefits, and candidates must have experience in single-family detached housing.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural drawings using Revit for custom residential homes.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure designs meet client specifications.
• Review and modify existing drawings based on feedback from clients and team members.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes and regulations relevant to residential construction.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position within the homebuilding industry.
• 2 or 4 year degree in Construction, Drafting, or a related field.
• High level of understanding of drafting software, particularly Revit.
• Extensive knowledge of the homebuilding process.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong structural knowledge is a plus.
