About the position

The Link 16 LPDS Engineer at HII's Mission Technologies division is responsible for performing systems engineering activities to support the development of a new Link 16 Pulse Deconfliction Server (LPDS). This role involves requirements analysis, management, and documentation, as well as software development and integration to ensure the LPDS meets the needs of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. The engineer will work closely with government stakeholders to create and manage software requirements specifications and support testing and validation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support requirements analysis and management for the development of a new LPDS.
  • Create a Software Development Plan (SDP) for each release of the LPDS, documenting functional requirements and project milestones.
  • Perform system software engineering, development, and integration support for the LPDS.
  • Implement software requirements for the new LPDS version based on capabilities defined by the LPDS CCB.
  • Develop an automated regression test suite for testing LPDS software requirements.
  • Write test designs and automated test scripts for each approved test design.
  • Support Government witnessed Formal Qualification Tests (FQT) to demonstrate operational readiness of the LPDS.

Requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 3 years with a Master's; or 9 years relevant experience with a High School Diploma.
  • Experience in L16 and LPDS software development.
  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in electrical engineering, electronic technology, computer science, or a similar technical discipline.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
