Responsibilities
- Lead the Sensors RF team and manage development activities for multiple high complexity projects utilizing wireless radio communications technologies.
- Oversee the design, simulation, testing, and evaluation of prototype communications elements and systems for sensor applications in both laboratory and field conditions.
- Establish customer requirements, identify solutions, and create technical specifications, cost-effective engineering designs, and test plans.
- Support engineers and technicians during the design, build, and test phases of RF projects for existing and new sensor applications.
- Collaborate with technical and project support staff on multiple projects and advise on strategic customer interactions.
- Monitor project spending, staffing, contract schedules, subcontracts, material purchases, and deliverables.
- Provide feedback on architectural tradeoffs and design decisions at the component/circuit level.
- Work cross-functionally with internal and external design teams to align on common design goals.
- Generate documentation to define project schedules, features, functionality, cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Travel internationally as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in RF Systems Design and project management.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to efficiently handle complex technical issues.
- Experience leading engineering teams in technical projects.
