About the position

At Raytheon, we are committed to helping our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. Our **Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP)** Department is at the forefront of receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology. We are currently seeking an **Electrical Engineer** who is eager to leverage their strong academic background and experience in digital and/or RF/Microwave system theory and design. This role involves the development of Radar Receiver, Exciter, and signal processing products and technologies. The successful candidate will engage in the design, analysis, and hands-on integration and testing of RF components, circuits, and subsystems, while also providing technical support to production activities. In this position, you will be responsible for RF/Microwave circuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation, and verification. You will also be involved in the integration and testing at component, CCA, and subsystem levels, ensuring a smooth transition to production and providing technical support to manufacturing and test engineers. There will be opportunities to manage small projects or processes within your area of responsibility, as well as travel to both domestic and international integration sites, including customer and subcontractor facilities. This is a **1st shift** role that will be **100% on-site** in either **Tewksbury, MA** or **Marlborough, MA**.

Responsibilities

  • RF/Microwave circuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation, and verification.
  • Integration and test at component, CCA, and subsystem levels.
  • Transition to production and provide technical support to manufacturing and test engineers.
  • Manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility.
  • Travel to domestic and international integration sites, as well as customer and subcontractor facilities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in RF component analysis, design, and/or test.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Background designing, testing, and troubleshooting analog and Radio Frequency CCAs.
  • Integration and test of CCAs and subsystems.
  • Hands-on experience with design simulation tools such as ADS and Mentor Graphics' Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, phase noise analyzer (PNA), spectrum analyzers, real-time spectrum analyzers, and performance network analyzers.
