About the position

The RF Hardware Engineer will lead the design and development of Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) for advanced wireless communication systems. This role requires a strong background in RF/analog circuit design and PCB layout, along with experience in wireless communication protocols. The engineer will collaborate with a multi-functional team to ensure high-performance and reliable RRHs that meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineers to ensure detailed integration and efficient performance of the RRH system.
  • Develop and implement test plans to validate RRH performance, compliance with industry standards, and reliability under various environmental conditions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and components to improve RRH performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and field teams during product introduction and deployment.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in hardware design, with a focus on RF/analog circuits.
  • Strong understanding of RF/microwave theory, transmission line theory, and antenna theory.
  • Proficiency in using schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence).
  • Experience in circuit and layout simulations.
  • Experience with PCB layout guidelines and standard processes for high-speed, high-frequency designs.
  • Familiarity with LTE, 5G and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-functional environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with RRH design or other wireless infrastructure equipment.
  • Knowledge of power amplifier design, LDMOS/GaN technology, and RF power management.
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) and FPGA-based design.
  • Experience with thermal design and analysis for electronic systems.
