About the position

The RF/Microwave Circuit Design Engineer will be involved in the development and design of high-performance RF circuits and subsystems for semiconductor characterization testing. The role emphasizes hands-on design, assembly, and testing of various RF components, including multi-throw RF switches and solid-state power amplifiers, requiring a solid understanding of RF circuit design principles.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of RF circuits and assemblies.
• Assist in the assembly and testing of RF components such as multi-throw RF switches and variable-gain amplifiers.
• Implement stability techniques for FET and HBT amplifier designs.
• Develop transmission line circuits and perform impedance matching for transistor amplifiers.
• Utilize software tools like Matlab and Microwave Office for RF circuit design.
• Work with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and RF power compression measurement instruments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
• Experience with RF circuit design principles, including impedance matching and stability techniques.
• Proficiency in software tools such as Matlab and Microwave Office for RF design.
• Familiarity with network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of analog circuits for biasing and regulation in FET and HBT devices.
• Experience in semiconductor characterization testing.
