About the position

The RF Sensor HWIL Engineer at Lockheed Martin will support the Missile and Fire Control Business Area by leading hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) integration and testing tasks. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering, particularly in digital, analog, and RF circuit designs, and involves troubleshooting hardware/software failures using lab equipment. The engineer will generate testbed definitions, design hardware interfaces, perform tests, and review test data while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HWIL tasks including generating testbed definitions leveraging Lockheed Martin's Common HWIL architecture.
  • Design hardware interfaces and simulations for HWIL integration.
  • Set up and perform tests on the HWIL integration bench.
  • Review test data and troubleshoot failures in the lab.
  • Support program meetings and provide project status updates.
  • Interface with a multi-discipline, intra-business area, cross-site team.
  • Lead the integration of HWIL for the Sensor Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in MFC's Common Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) development and/or integration.
  • Strong communication skills with experience working across multiple MFC or Business Areas.
  • Electrical and RF integration and/or troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working with lab test equipment (Scope, DMM, PNA, or similar industry tools).
  • Ability to work onsite at the LMMFC - Grand Prairie or Orlando Campus full-time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Electrical Design for Aerospace or Aviation applications.
  • Experience with Electrical Harnessing, Grounding, and Hardware Integration.
  • Engineering Cost Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Knowledge of EVMS (Earned Value Management).
  • Technical leadership experience or skills, specifically within the Common HWIL CoE.
  • Prior IPT Lead experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple functional teams.
