About the position

The RF Systems Technician role is a permanent position focused on providing technical support for specialized communications systems. This position involves troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and performance optimization of RF, Microwave, and IT systems. The technician will work in a dynamic environment, responding to on-call duties and ensuring the proper operation of advanced communication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for specialized communications systems and product applications.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with a focus on trend analysis and thorough documentation of results.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting of software-driven electronics and provisioning of communications system infrastructure.
• Optimize performance of RF, Microwave, and IT systems, including Legacy Analog Radio Systems and Advanced Digital P25 Systems.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, responding to calls at any hour during assigned weeks.
• Drive at night and in remote areas as required for on-call duties.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in RF systems or related field.
• Valid US Driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Experience with Microsoft Servers, VMware, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco networking.
• Strong documentation skills and experience in preventative maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

• General Radio Operator License
• Experience with TCP/IP networking.
