About the position

The RF Test Engineer for Radar Systems at HII's Mission Technologies Division is responsible for performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability analyses for radar systems. This role involves conducting functional analysis, timeline analysis, and employing test assets to meet customer-driven objectives within an agile test environment. The engineer will work closely with radar and electronic warfare systems, ensuring effective testing and integration processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning and system integration for radar systems.
• Conduct verification and validation analyses for total systems.
• Execute RF chain analysis and radar system performance analysis.
• Support hands-on test, integration, and verification across lab facilities.
• Develop test planning, procedures, and reports for customer releases.
• Identify risks and support technical and functional leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 0 years of experience.
• Interest in Radar or Electronic Warfare System design and testing.
• Experience with radar signal processing techniques and sensor system integration.
• Proficiency in using tools such as MATLAB for performance analysis.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with algorithms, software, hardware, and networking in a testing environment.
• Familiarity with technical publications and report writing.
