About the position

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking an RFID Applications Engineer Co-Op for the Spring of 2025. This position is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, particularly in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical disciplines. The co-op program emphasizes experiential learning, allowing participants to engage directly with product engineers in the development of RFID tags, printer systems, and RFID reader systems operating in both HF and UHF bands. The role will primarily take place in an office or application lab environment, where co-ops will utilize various automated RFID test systems and RFID printer and reader systems. The co-op will involve working closely with engineers to influence product development and customer use case decisions, thereby obtaining a deep understanding of RFID technology, which is crucial for enabling the Internet of Things, Blockchain, and Omni-Channel fulfillment. Participants will be part of a technical team, focusing on testing methods, critical thinking, data analysis, and reporting in spreadsheets, as well as generating technical and customer-facing reports. Avery Dennison's Co-Op Program is unique in its emphasis on networking, community, and support. From the outset, co-ops are encouraged to network and build a community with peers and Early Careers Program associates. A core component of the program is the peer mentoring initiative, which pairs co-ops with Early Careers Associates or program graduates to facilitate a smooth transition from college to corporate life. Additionally, the company values diversity and inclusion, encouraging co-op associates to participate in Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that promote cultural awareness and an inclusive work environment. This co-op position is paid, and relocation assistance is available for those who qualify. Candidates must be willing to commit to at least two semesters, including one non-summer term, and should have reliable transportation to and from work.
