About the position

The RFID Specialist at American Woodmark is responsible for managing and supporting various RFID projects and initiatives. This role involves maintaining high performance on the RFID Scorecard, identifying innovative RFID solutions, and ensuring effective communication and training regarding RFID systems across the organization. The specialist will also lead internal software development and support external software implementations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of RFID technology within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of RFID Systems throughout AWC and share this knowledge when needed.
  • Pursue strong understandings of RFID Technology and research new industry trends.
  • Maintain the performance of RFID Systems by supporting plant locations in projects and maintenance of RFID hardware and software.
  • Provide training to TSS and varying members of the user community to improve understanding of RFID Systems and Hardware.
  • Lead internal RFID software development by supporting IT with application testing and deployment.
  • Support external RFID software development by monitoring software releases and managing implementations.
  • Help maintain application stability by empowering locations to use consistent processes and applications.
  • Assume the lead role for projects focused on improving RFID deployment or application throughout AWC.
  • Provide support as a team-member when RFID expertise is needed for cross-functional teams.
  • Develop queries, reports, and Ignition solutions using RFID data and hardware.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or technology related fields.
  • RFID, RPICA Certification is a plus.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and PowerBI; experience with Ignition is a plus.
  • Excellent personal computer skills in a network environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen to problem statements and discussions, identifying key data points.
  • Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to operate efficiently within a team environment.
