About the position

The Tampa Downtown Partnership is seeking a qualified technology provider to serve as the Downtown Area Shared Hubs (DASH) Technology Provider. This role involves providing essential technology services for the DASH program, which is an on-demand micro-transit service operating in Tampa's Downtown area. The selected provider will be responsible for hosting the mobile app, managing ride requests, and supporting the administrative functions of the service. The contract is for one year with the possibility of two additional years.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology services for the DASH program, including app hosting and management.
• Develop and deploy a ride-demand algorithm/software to manage ride requests.
• Host an administrative backend for monitoring and managing the service.
• Ensure the app is user-friendly and compatible with payment processing.
• Customize the app to align with DASH branding guidelines.
• Support the integration of ADA services for riders needing assistance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technology provider for on-demand transit services.
• Experience with ride-demand algorithms and software development.
• Ability to host an administrative portal for service monitoring.
• Experience with app-based platforms for transit services.
• Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (version 2.2).
• Experience in customizing transit apps to meet branding requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with hybrid on-demand transit services that include both fixed route and point-to-point options.
• Familiarity with technology for managing walksheds.
• Experience in providing in-app advertising opportunities.
