The Rigger position at Tindall Corporation involves assisting the overhead crane operator in the process of stripping concrete members from their beds and placing them in the finishing area. The role also includes assisting the Travelift operator in transporting these concrete members from the finishing area to the storage yard. Additionally, the Rigger will support other bed crew personnel with various bed duties as required. This position is critical in ensuring that the operations run smoothly and safely, contributing to the overall production of high-quality concrete products. In this role, the Rigger must adhere to all safety and quality rules and processes to maintain a safe working environment. The responsibilities include waiting for the overhead crane operator to position the crane above the member to be stripped from the bed, hooking cables to the lifting loops or swift lifts, and positioning wooden blocks before stacking the member. The Rigger will also direct the overhead crane operator as necessary to ensure proper stacking of the member. Similarly, when assisting the Travelift operator, the Rigger will wait for the Travelift to be positioned above the member to be moved, hook cables, and position wooden blocks before stacking. When not engaged with the Travelift or overhead crane, the Rigger may perform other duties related to the pour, such as dry finishing or rework tasks.
