About the position

Kelly Education is seeking Substitute Teachers for Rio Rancho Public Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is essential in ensuring that students continue to learn and grow every day, providing mentorship and support in the classroom. Substitute teachers will lead instruction, adapt to various learning styles, and create a positive learning environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies.
• Lead instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher's existing lesson plans.
• Instruct students on a variety of classroom topics/courses.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students.
• Motivate students to learn and encourage classroom participation.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Adapt to the various learning styles of students.
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or any college degree.
• New Mexico Teaching License or New Mexico Substitute License (or willing to obtain).
• Willing to work at least 3 days a week (ideally).
• Calming, compassionate nature.
• Ability to relate and adapt to various behaviors, learning styles, and/or disabilities.
• Comfortable with Technology (Google, Zoom, etc.).
