About the position

The Rising Phoenix Manager at the University of Wisconsin System is responsible for overseeing the Rising Phoenix Program, which allows high school students to concurrently fulfill their graduation requirements while earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree. This role involves managing program operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies, all while promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, facilitation, and evaluation of the Rising Phoenix Program.
• Assist in the development of program policies and procedures.
• Manage student recruitment and admissions processes.
• Supervise daily operations and staff of the Rising Phoenix Program.
• Coordinate program budgets and monitor financial resources.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Teach sections of the First Year Seminar course for Rising Phoenix students each fall semester.
• Build and maintain partnerships with high school and university colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with institutional and high school policies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Counseling, Student Affairs, Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with high school and/or college students in admissions, academic advising, or program development.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervision and training of staff.
• Experience working with diverse, underrepresented, and first-generation students.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual, preferably in Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
