About the position
The Risk and Compliance Principle Lead at Google is responsible for developing and maintaining the risk and compliance program for the Global Business Organization (GBO). This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations while promoting a healthy risk culture. The position requires proactive identification of compliance gaps and the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance compliance systems across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing, shaping, and maintaining the risk and compliance program for the Global Business Organization.
- Collaborate with second line teams on control design, training, and awareness initiatives to ensure compliance with policy requirements.
- Build and execute a consistent approach to identifying and assessing risk.
- Communicate findings and progress to senior leadership with executive-ready updates and provide timely updates on urgent issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
- Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills.
Nice-to-haves
- MBA or graduate degree in a technical, quantitative, or business field.
- Knowledge of regulations impacting the ads industry.
- Ability to promote a healthy risk culture and enable change across business organizations.
