About the position

The Risk Capture & Analytics Analyst role at Truist Bank focuses on supporting the Capital Adequacy Process by providing insights into risk considerations within capital planning. The analyst will develop frameworks for stress test scenarios, assist in scenario development for CCAR and ACL, and facilitate governance forums. This position requires in-office work four days a week in Charlotte, NC, and involves both analytical and project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Risk Capture process in demonstrating Truist's Capital Adequacy Process.
• Assist in the execution of scenario development and economic forecasting for stress testing processes.
• Lead small projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
• Monitor Notices of Proposed Rulemaking impacting capital planning and stay updated on regulatory considerations.
• Execute risk controls for capital planning processes and make process improvements as needed.
• Create and execute economic forecasting models for complex capital analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, economics, finance or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of banking or equivalent relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of statistics, financial forecasting techniques, and finance theory.
• Familiarity with regulatory capital, stress testing, and resolution planning disciplines.
• Proven competency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel as needed, occasionally overnight.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree, MBA or professional designation (e.g., CFA, FRM).
• Three years of analytical experience in the Corporate Treasury function.
• Working knowledge of bank financial statements and their impact on capital.
• Understanding of bank regulation related to capital planning.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
