About the position

The Senior Manager for Risk & Compliance at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will oversee the Integrated Risk and Resilience Team's strategic operations. This role involves leading a multi-functional team to enhance risk management, compliance, and resilience practices within the organization. The Senior Manager will be responsible for implementing risk management initiatives, overseeing risk event reporting, and ensuring alignment with established frameworks and policies. This position plays a critical role in supporting senior leadership decision-making and fostering a strong risk culture across the Fifth District.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and execution of FRS risk management initiatives and deliverables.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and support of the strategic use of risk data across disparate systems.
  • Provide oversight to the Fifth District's risk event reporting and mitigation responses.
  • Partner with IRR leaders to design and implement crisis/incident management strategies.
  • Ensure structure is in place for crisis management and incident response.
  • Lead the team responsible for Fifth District Records and Information Management.
  • Provide oversight of the Fifth District's role in managing FedPro, the system of record for physical records.
  • Serve as the backup Business Continuity Officer.
  • Coordinate the Transparency and Accountability Policy program.
  • Recommend and implement multi-year strategic goals and objectives.
  • Identify operational efficiencies and seek improvements to established processes.
  • Support senior leader risk decision making and consult on risk-related matters.
  • Drive enhancements to Fifth District risk culture through awareness campaigns.

Requirements

  • Minimum 9 years of relevant work experience in risk management, compliance, audit, incident or crisis management, or business continuity.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, technology, or a data-related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to assess risk impact and develop mitigation plans.
  • Strong expertise in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Experience leading the development of data analytics tools for decision making.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry recognized professional or technical certifications such as CPA, PMP, CCEP, CISA.
  • Familiarity with business continuity and incident management standards.
