About the position

The Risk Control Consultant at Liberty Mutual provides complex consultative services focused on loss prevention to a designated group of customers. This role involves conducting on-site evaluations, assessing risks, and implementing service plans to mitigate losses and costs. The consultant also serves as a mentor to less experienced colleagues and plays a key role in enhancing the company's leadership in safety through relationship building and expert guidance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site evaluations and assess customer risks.
• Create and implement service plans to control sources of risk and losses.
• Provide expert technical support and advice to other loss prevention employees.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of loss prevention services provided by junior consultants.
• Collaborate with management to develop policies, procedures, and new products for loss prevention services.
• Identify new business opportunities and design programs to improve service offerings.
• Enhance Liberty Mutual's brand awareness and leadership position in the safety field.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in math, engineering, or related areas.
• Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in loss prevention or safety.
• Advanced knowledge in risk assessment, solutions management, and service delivery.
• Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary software applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
• Experience in property risk control.
