About the position

The Risk Control Consultant at Liberty Mutual provides complex consultative services focused on loss prevention to a designated group of customers. This role involves conducting on-site evaluations, assessing risks, and implementing service plans to mitigate losses and costs. The consultant also serves as a mentor to less experienced colleagues and plays a key role in enhancing the company's reputation in the safety field through relationship building and expert guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex consultative services to customers within a loss prevention specialty area.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and create/implement service plans to control customer risks and losses.
• Provide risk assessment services and track progress to demonstrate value to customers.
• Serve as a trainer and mentor to less experienced consultants.
• Enhance the company's leadership position in the safety field by developing key relationships.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of loss prevention services provided by junior consultants.
• Collaborate with management to develop policies, procedures, and new products for loss prevention consulting services.
• Identify new business opportunities and design programs to improve service offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in math, engineering, or related areas.
• At least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or safety/health field.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in risk assessment, solutions management, and service delivery.
• Effective interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to create complex documents and spreadsheets.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
• Experience in property risk control.
