About the position

The Risk Control Consultant at Liberty Mutual provides complex consultative services focused on loss prevention to a designated group of customers. This role involves conducting on-site evaluations, assessing risks, and implementing service plans to mitigate losses and costs. The consultant also serves as a mentor to less experienced colleagues and plays a key role in enhancing the company's reputation in the safety field through relationship building and expert guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultative services to customers in a specialized technical area or territory.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and create/implement service plans to control customer risks and losses.
• Offer technical support to other loss prevention employees regarding resources, legislation, and effective risk reduction methods.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of loss prevention services provided by less experienced consultants.
• Coach, mentor, and train less experienced consultants to enhance their development and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with management to develop policies, procedures, and new products to improve loss prevention consulting services.
• Identify new business opportunities for loss prevention services and design programs to enhance customer engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in math, engineering, or related areas.
• At least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or safety/health field.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in risk assessment, risk analysis, and solutions management.
• Effective interpersonal, writing, and communication skills to maintain relationships with customers and industry contacts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for document creation and data analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional certification in areas such as CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
• Experience in property risk control.
