About the position

The Risk Control Consultant I/II position at Liberty Mutual involves providing consultative services in loss prevention, specifically within the construction and property sectors. The role requires conducting on-site evaluations, developing service plans to mitigate risks, and offering expert technical support to clients and less experienced consultants. The consultant will also play a key role in enhancing the company's leadership in safety and risk management through relationship building and business development.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative services to customers within a loss prevention specialty area.
• Conduct on-site evaluations and create/implement service plans to control customer risks and losses.
• Provide risk assessment services and track progress to demonstrate value to clients.
• Serve as a trainer and mentor to less experienced consultants.
• Enhance the company's leadership position in safety through relationship development.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of loss prevention services provided by junior consultants.
• Collaborate with management to develop policies, procedures, and new products for loss prevention services.
• Identify new business opportunities and design programs to improve service offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in math, engineering, or related areas.
• At least 5 years of directly related consulting experience in loss prevention or safety.
• Working towards or obtained professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, or CPE.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in risk assessment, solutions management, and service delivery.
• Effective interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to create complex documents and spreadsheets.

Nice-to-haves

• Property and Construction experience or expertise is preferred.
