About the position
The Risk Control Consultant at McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, plays a crucial role in the Property & Casualty team by analyzing client data, performing actuarial analysis, and preparing reports to support consulting actuaries and client relationship teams. This position is integral to delivering risk management consulting services to clients in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
Responsibilities
- Request, collect, and analyze client data for benefit plans.
- Perform actuarial analysis, valuations, and forecast cost projections.
- Prepare client reports in support of Consulting Actuaries and client relationship teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Five years of experience in a risk management consulting position or equivalent education and training.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel in assigned territory including overnight on a regular basis.
- Problem-solving ability and negotiating skills working with senior-level client staff.
- Above average interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Goal and result-oriented.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
- Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) certification or other nationally recognized safety certification
- Experience in multi-line coverage and target industry business groups as defined by McGriff marketing department
- Experience using RMIS systems and databases.
