About the position

The Credit Risk Analyst position at SPECTRAFORCE is a critical role within the firm's risk management framework, focusing on assessing, monitoring, and managing credit risk. This role is part of a global team of over 200 professionals, with operations in major financial hubs including New York, Salt Lake City, Dallas, London, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Bengaluru, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. The Credit Risk team interacts daily with various departments such as Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, and Financing, providing a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the firm's activities and the financial landscape. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for liaising with Investment Advisors, Legal, and Compliance teams to research and identify funds, as well as request information related to their financial performance. You will update the funds' Net Asset Values and performance metrics in the Credit systems, and work closely with Hedge Funds to gain insights into their performance, strategies, and asset management. Additionally, you will review documents and monitor covenants, manage the client onboarding process to ensure accurate assignment to the relevant industry teams, and document process flows to share knowledge with new analysts. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements, developing methods to mitigate risks, enhance controls, and improve customer satisfaction. You will be accountable for the accuracy and quality of your work, and will need to escalate any unresolved issues to management. This position offers a dynamic work environment where attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Investment Advisors, Legal and Compliance in researching and identifying funds and requesting information related to financial performance
  • Updating fund's Net Asset Values and performance in Credit systems
  • Working with Hedge Funds to better understand performance, strategy, and assets
  • Reviewing documents and monitoring covenants
  • Managing client onboarding flow for accurate assignment to applicable industry teams
  • Documenting process flows for the functions performed and sharing this knowledge with other new analysts
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and developing methods to reduce risks, increase controls, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Accountability for the accuracy and quality of work and escalating unresolved issues to management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Motivated team player with strong organizational skills
  • Strong Excel Skills, familiar with Pivot Tables, Formulas, VBA, etc.
  • Articulate & diplomatic
  • Ability to learn quickly and work on own initiative
  • Basic accounting or financial analysis skills helpful
