About the position

The Risk Management Analyst at Opry Entertainment Group and Ryman Hospitality Properties plays a crucial role in analyzing and administering all aspects of the corporate risk management program. This position is responsible for identifying and evaluating potential risks associated with various business units and recommending programs to mitigate organizational risk and legal liability. The analyst will report directly to the Executive Vice President and General Counsel, ensuring that the company's interests are protected at all times. In this role, the analyst will maintain and facilitate relationships with multiple insurance brokers, underwriters, and service providers to effectively place and manage insurance renewals for the company and its affiliates, including joint ventures. This involves managing multiple effective dates and locations to ensure comprehensive coverage. The analyst will also review and monitor insurance programs maintained by third-party operators of the company's hospitality assets, ensuring that the company's interests are appropriately served and protected. The analyst will recommend and implement cost-efficient loss prevention programs aimed at maximizing the protection of the organization's assets and employees. This includes both insured and self-insured programs designed to minimize workplace hazards and provide risk assessment and control programs. Additionally, the analyst will review, consult, and advise on first and third-party contracts in collaboration with the Legal Department, focusing on indemnity, required insurance coverages, hold harmless clauses, and other various insurance requirements. Collaboration with Corporate Security and Human Resources teams is essential, as the analyst will assist in the investigation and reporting of accidents and incidents. This includes coordinating follow-up with insurance companies, third-party administrators, adjusters, and attorneys, as well as assisting the Legal Department in liability and lawsuit claims activities. The analyst will also be responsible for setting claim reserves in conjunction with the Legal Department and ensuring compliance with safety legislation, industry practices, and market requirements related to the company's services. Regular submission of risk management and related reports to regulatory agencies is required, along with compliance with all legal requirements. The analyst will provide continual assessment and advice to management on alternative means of risk management and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years related insurance industry or risk management experience required, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining safety and loss control programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and communicate exposure to loss to multiple levels of internal and external customers.
  • Solid computer proficiency.
